Something Worth Forwarding - Health Care Facts by David Axelrod

A message from David Axelrod, The White House, that is critical in debunking the lies and hate being spun. The goal is to get this out to as many people as possible. Cut and past this message in an email and send it out far and wide.

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage

1. Ends Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.

2. Ends ExorbitContinue

Right-Wing Harassment Strategy Against Dems Detailed In Memo: ‘Yell,’ ‘Stand Up And Shout Out,’ ‘Rattle Him’

We cannot afford to sit on the side line and allow those who do not want this country to succeed deter us from our course. Now that the House/Senate is in recess, there is an effort to derail the President's call for health care reform by delay and disruption tactics.

Normally, the recess in Washington offers lawmakers an opportunity to reach out to their constituents in their home states and discuss with them issues of importance. It is also a time that ordinary people have an opportunity to c… Continue

Hi Val,

Sorry bring you this news.....I recieved another spam type of email today, but from a different member "Madelyn Parker". I left her a message advising her to not use this site for her own personal agenda, and to put more effort into the the issues that need to be addressed in relation to this organization.

It's unfortunate that some of the people that have joined, only do so, for their own personal gain. I realized that you do not have much control when these types of folks join, and that you work very hard to control such incidents.

I'm concerned that these types of emails being sent to the OFC members may discourage them from wanting to continue to receive any type of emails from OFC.

I'll try my best to make you aware of any further spamming emails within a timely fashion.

Take care,
Tami

Hi Val,
I left a message for Johnathan Green, who is a member. He continues to send spam mail from this site, as recently as today. As you know, I strongly feel that it is unfortunate that he is using this site for his own personal gain. I am hopeful that he will discontinue this and work harder on the issues.
Thanks,
Tami

Thank you for the warm welcome. I really appreciate it. I am excited to join a community service grass roots organization like this. I believe in President Obama philosophy that change starts with us at the grass roots level.
I will be signing up for a few of the upcoming events to provide my quota to these.

Thank you again.

Hi Val,

I'll be going to the OFC Com.Org.Leadership Sessions. I noticed that Ron Ward plans to attend, he lives in the same town as me and I tried to leave him a message to ask him if he wanted to ride with me, but I don't think he got the message because of the way he has his mail set up...it's limited.
Do you know Ron Ward, and can you get the message to him?
Thanks,
Tami

In order to keep the nation focused, I feel that there must be some common, overt, obvious sacrifice that we as citizens can take part in. Not unlike the various rationing and conserving of certain materials that took place in WW II, I feel that some common sacrifice on a national scale can create a sense of purpose, a sense of being and a sense of common feeling. My idea stops a little short as I have trouble determining what exactly that sacrifice should/could be. When times are tough we too often shrug the troubles off by functioning as if all was well. We all know all is not well but defining IT isn't simple.

Hi Val,
Thought I'd make a suggestion. I recently went through all the members that have signed up on this site, so I could add and communicate with the people that are in my local area - so we can come together as a group for upcoming events.
There are many members on here that do not list their hometown.....Is it possilbe for you to make a note of this on the homepage, asking members to edit their profiles to include their hometown?
Thanks,
Tami

Race is the one thing that none of us have control of. We cannot pick to whom we are born. We can only make the best of what life has to offer. And when we are comfortable in whom we have become, it is our obligation to help others. I see this in Barack and this is but one reason I am supporting him for president. The other is quite as simple, he and I understand that if we are going to make real change in this country we must be willing to work and make change at the top.
